How It Began
In our family, safety became a regular conversation. Not from fear, but from care and from the small, practical things we can do to look after each other.
Text me when you get there. Keep your phone charged. Lock the car. Stay aware of your surroundings. They were simple habits, but after Beti and I welcomed our two little ones, those conversations began to carry even more meaning.
As a husband, a dad to a daughter and a son to a mum I adore, I wanted the women in my life to have something practical they could carry every day. Something simple they could reach for if they ever felt uncomfortable or needed to attract attention quickly.
We looked at what was available and realised there were no safety essentials we genuinely wanted the women in our family to carry. Everything felt bulky, flimsy, complicated or too focused on fear. Nothing felt right for real everyday use.
We wanted something different. Compact enough to live on your keys. Stylish enough to complement everyday life. Simple enough for different generations to use. Thoughtfully designed so it felt reassuring to carry rather than confronting.
So Beti and I began creating it ourselves. We thought about how it would feel in your hand, how it would sit on your keys, how quickly it could be reached and, most importantly, whether it would be something people genuinely wanted to keep close.
Every detail mattered, from the compact rechargeable design and everyday light to the modern colours, braided carry loop and deluxe gold foil packaging.
That idea became KEYLARM.
The Bigger Vision
What began as something I wanted for the women in our own family soon became a much bigger mission.
We want to help more women and families feel prepared without making them feel afraid. That means creating practical safety essentials that are easy to carry, easy to use and thoughtfully designed for everyday life.
